The Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology (SPCEET) Senior Design Expo showcases the best capstone engineering design projects across the college's six departments and disciplines. Projects featured teams from the following disciplines:

  • Civil and Environmental Engineering
  • Electrical and Computer Engineering
  • Engineering Technology
  • Industrial and Systems Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering

Throughout the semester, students have designed, built, tested, and presented innovative projects that address real-world issues and directly impact our community. Prizes were awarded for the top three projects. Judges were members of the college's various Industry Advisory Boards (IABs), other industry partners, and faculty.

We are excited to expand this event to further engage our community, industry leaders, and dedicated alumni. We look forward to our next competition on May 1 in the Convocation Center on the Kennesaw Campus.

We would like to thank our Senior Design Platinum Sponsor

About the Senior Design Experience

SPCEET's related senior design two-course capstone sequence culminates the undergraduate engineering education at KSU. Students learn and implement design concepts for products/systems from concept to market.

What does the Senior Design Experience involve?

  • Manufacturability and Customer Requirements
  • Environmental and Human Factors
  • Maintainability
  • Marketability
  • Optimization

The senior design capstone course allows engineering students to apply the breadth of engineering coursework and analytical skillsets acquired over four years to develop an efficient and practical engineering design solution.
