Program and Schedule
Program
Courses will follow the regular 8-week summer schedule with instruction concentrated
three days per week, allowing ample time for both organized and self-directed travel.
Build community with a small group of like-minded engineering students and explore
the European experience under the guidance of program director and course instructor
Charles Duvall. Program costs include airfare, Italian language instruction, weekly
evening meals together, multiple day trips in the Montepulciano area, a four-day weekend
trip to Rome, and fully furnished and kitchen-equipped apartments in Montepulciano
shared with other program students. Built into the program is the service-learning
requirement for students to receive the Global Learning Scholarship which covers over
20% of the program cost. The only program prerequisite is completion of PHYS 2211/2211L
with a C or higher.
