The MakerSpace in Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology (SPCEET) at Kennesaw State University exists to provide students the opportunity to independently pursue “hands on” projects related to coursework, research, or supervised individual exploration. MakerSpace utilization is anticipated to increase the number of interdisciplinary student projects, while encouraging engineering students to think entrepreneurially and as inventors of components, systems, and technologies. The 1000 square-foot MakerSpace is in room Q 308, on the third floor of the Engineering Technology Center. It houses equipment for rapid prototyping and manual fabrication (plastics or wood).

For the 2020 academic year, the MakerSpace is exclusively available to KSU engineering students, faculty, and staff. For a minimal fee, students, faculty, and staff from other colleges may use the MakerSpace.
