Scholarships

All engineering and engineering technology majors, in good standing, are all eligible to apply for available scholarships. Each scholarship awarded is based on available funds. Awarded recipient will have funds placed in their student account – to be applied toward tuition and/or fees.

Interested students are encouraged to complete the application process through the online KSU Scholarship application at the Office of Scholarships. The online scholarship application opens up on November 1st and closes on March 15th.

Scholarships Available

Beverly F. Shore Scholarship
Established in honor of Beverly F. Shore, an engineer’s assistant at Stratos, an aircraft engineer firm – during World War II. This scholarship is designated for rising junior female students minoring in aerospace engineering.

Catherine Land-Waters Endowed Scholarship
Established by Catherine Land Waters, to benefit a full-time undergraduate student who is part of an underrepresented population, majoring in Industrial Engineering Technology or Systems/Industrial Engineering. Student should be a freshman with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Scholarship is renewable (with application) for a total of five years, if the student maintains this major and the GPA.

NRC Nuclear Scholarship

For Mechanical, Electrical, and Systems Engineering students pursuing a minor in Nuclear Engineering. Recipients must be enrolled full-time with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate satisfactory academic progress in their fields of study, as determined by criteria established by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The grant will provide scholarships for 24 students, paying $3,200 per semester, for two years through Spring semester 2019.

Price Industries Scholarship for Engineering Excellence
This endowed scholarship will benefit students majoring in mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering technology and industrial/systems engineering.

Southeastern Transportation Security Council Scholarship
To benefit a student pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Logistics. Preference is given to a non-traditional student, who is enrolled full-time and employed while attending the University.
